So far, I have been unable to find any useable articles to share with you regarding the MIG-22 in the gun magazines, but the specs are impressive and accuracy reports have been stellar.

This item is super-hot and the only place I have found that even hints that they may have it available is Legendary Guns out of Phoenix, AZ, 602-242-1195, at $595.00 as seen on Gunbroker.com.

Update, November 12, 2013: Spotted on Cheaperthandirt.com for $325.00!!!

Don't get discouraged though. There are a number of excellent tactical .22s that have flooded the marketplace lately. I always knew they'd find a way to bring the cost of .22 rifles to $500.00 and above and, gosh dammit, that day is here!

2015 July update: MIG 22 now starting at $540 mint on Gunbroker!

  2. For bench shooting and/or AR-15 "wannabee" training, sure. But it's too heavy for wabbit season or any practical .22 use.

Side note > The "prove you're not a robot" text on this page is retarded and barely legible after multiple refreshes, last time I post anything here - takes too damn long.

  4. Okay I got one. not the target model just the standard MIG. Paid around $450 for it and still need to get a sight.

The gun is heavy. Like SokoMan said, too heavy for wabbits.

The trigger is insanely good. Accuracy is great off the bench. The bolt action is amazing. I pulled it out of the box and rand 100 rounds through it without fail. The one magazine it came with is really nice and I think adds to the ability of the gun's feeding and absence of jams.

I ordered a second mag and asked about higher caps. They are going to try and get them out this spring barring disaster.

For the money, and the outrageous quality, this thing is great, if you can find it.

  6. I did purchase one, ran about 250 rounds no problems, then the firing pin came out. really ? gun would no longer fire... any ideas on how to field strip this MIG 22 ?

  7. It turns out in the owner's manual that comes with it has instructions on how to field strip it. Really basic stuff and only aluminum, no plastic besides the stock...
The pin I found was what serves as the rotating axis for the disconnector. It's bound to fall off again sooner or later. I may have to super glue it for now...

  8. Martin Tuason told me in person that they will be re-designing the MIG-22 and will throw in higher-cap magazines :-)

On top of that, he showed me the design on his phone, it looks like a really nice M4. Heck yeah I'm excited about it. We can expect official buzz about this around August or earlier.
